Extrusion is a manufacturing process where heated plastic is pushed through a shaped die or tool to form continuous profiles.
In the extrusion process, raw plastic material is fed into a machine where it is melted. The molten plastic is then forced through a die or tool that determines the profile’s shape. As it exits the die, the material is cooled and cut to the desired length. This method is used to produce consistent, linear shapes like plastic angle trims, channels and other plastic profiles.
