It depends on the specification of the plastic raw materials. If the raw material is formulated as rigid PVC the profile would be rigid like a ruler. If formulated as flexible PVC the profile would be much softer and can be coiled like a belt.
By default, PVC is a rigid plastic, but flexibility can be introduced by adding plasticisers during production of the raw materials. At MKM Extrusions, most profiles are manufactured using external grade rigid PVC. Some selected profiles are also available in a flexible version, which are supplied in coils. The choice between rigid and flexible depends on the application requirements, but most of our customers prefer rigid profiles.
