uPVC stands for unplasticised polyvinyl chloride, a rigid form of PVC commonly used extrusion applications.
Unlike flexible PVC, uPVC does not contain plasticisers, which makes it more rigid and stable. It is valued for its durability, weather resistance and low maintenance requirements. These properties make uPVC suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
At MKM Extrusions, many plastic trims and profiles are made from rigid PVC, which is also referred to as uPVC in certain contexts. Please read our full blog about uPVC.
