The difference lies mainly in how they are measured and used. Pipes are defined by their internal diameter for fluid/gas transport, while tubes are measured by outer dimensions and are used for more general purpose applications.
Plastic pipes are usually (but not always) round and are often used to carry liquids or gases. Their sizing is based on the internal diameter to match flow requirements. Plastic tubes, on the other hand, can be round, square or rectangular, and are usually measured by their outer diameter and wall thickness.
At MKM Extrusions, the products referred to as tubing (whether square, rectangular or round) are not designed for fluid transport. Our plastic square tubes, round tubes and flexible round tubes can be ordered through our online shop and are available in the colours black and white. Custom productions could be an option for larger orders subject to review by our technicians.
