Extrusion is a manufacturing process used to create long, continuous profiles which have a consistent cross-section. These include edging trims, channels, joining profiles and tubes.
During the extrusion process, raw materials are melted and pushed through a shaped die or tool. As the material exits the die, it takes on the die’s shape, it is then cooled and cut to length. The resulting plastic profiles are used across a wide range of sectors and industries.
At MKM Extrusions, the extrusion process is our speciality. We manufacture plastic profiles, including PVC angle trims, PVC channels, PVC flat bar strips and PVC edging trims. All our stock profiles are available in rigid PVC, with some also offered in flexible versions. You can view the range in our online shop or request free samples to check for suitability. For larger volumes, custom extrusion may also be possible subject to review by our technical team.
